Young’s Engineering Consultancy Limited has developed a systematic approach in fulfilling development needs by offering services in civil and structural engineering, project supervision and management, and appraisals to name a few.
This family-owned business was started over 45 years ago by Collet Maheia Sr., a true Belizean entrepreneur. From his hometown of Mullins River in the StannCreek District, Mr. Maheia started by ferrying passengers and goods aboard his sailing lighter, the “United”. As his business grew, he added more lighters and eventually began trading in shell shank, beach sand and river sand used in construction. He eventually added dump trucks to provide delivery services from the sailing lighters to anywhere on land. This eventually led to a freight, trucking and heavy equipment rental service.
